Before avenging Baysungur's martyrdom, the kidnapping of Fatma Hatun, Saruca, and Yusuf by Lucas and Sofia deeply disturbs the Turks on the fringes. Osman Bey faces a dilemma as Lucas and Sofia demand Söğüt in exchange for Fatma, putting Osman Bey in a challenging position. He decides to surrender Söğüt but has a larger plan in mind to save Fatma without losing Söğüt. Karesi Bey declares war on Osman Bey, seeing him as vulnerable after the kidnapping.
