Ed and Tigger have a moneymaking scam, but Tigger warns Ed not to tell Alex - he has a habit of getting them into trouble. It's Alex's birthday. He mistakes their secretive behaviour as planning for his birthday surprise, and is gutted when he discovers Ed's forgotten. Mooey continues to bully Alex. Togger and Abel settle their differences after the trials, but remain nervous about the outcome. Mr Fox brings an unusual teaching tool into school - a rabbit. When Togger and co. realise they've sent an email to the French kids that suggests Grange Hill is like Hogwarts, Togger sees the perfect opportunity to have some fun.
