Coral explains her reasons for keeping the truth from her and gives Belinda the full story of her summer romance with Daniel. Frannie helps Dean study using terms he can understand. On her first day back at school, Belinda is paranoid with worry that everyone will know her father is a rumoured killer. Coral informs Daniel that Belinda doesn't want to publicly acknowledge that he's her father. He's accepting and reminds Coral to give Belinda the necklace. When Belinda is awarded the Blake bursary, a disappointed rival reveals she is Blake's daughter. Moving on from Dave, Shelley is pleased to learn that Hopper has split from Coral.
