De plot speelt zich af in Han Imperial China en volgt de avonturen van tot slaaf gemaakte meisje ping met oude Dragon Long Danzi. Dragons waren verbannen uit het koninkrijk. Ping, een wees, vindt een van de laatst overgebleven Dragon -eieren. Paleis Guards dwingen ping om weg te rennen om het Dragon -ei naar de oceaan terug te brengen en alle draken te redden van het uitsterven. Ping ontdekt dat ze een echte drakenkeeper is.
