Margaret Ross is an impoverished old woman who lives alone in a seedy apartment and enjoys a rich fantasy life as an heiress. One day she discovers stolen money hidden by her son and believes her fantasy has come true.

After the death of his mother, Raúl is forced to look for his father to solve a legal problem with a property, he finds him in a distant town married to a young woman and after 20 years without seeing him they begin a conflictive and longing relationship.

"The Volunteers" tells the experience of a group of medical students who travel to the north of Argentina to assist different indigenous communities that suffer the dispossession of their lands and structural poverty.
